Cynthia Frazier Odom, chief financial officer and executive vice president for Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains, was named the 2017 Top CFO of the Year at the Fort Worth Business Press’ CFO Awards Luncheon Wednesday, June 28.

“After we looked at the finalists, we had a smaller group sit down and say, ‘Does somebody’s career stand out for years of service and community volunteerism and a wide variety of things?’ ” said Rich Connor, publisher and president of the Fort Worth Business Press. “And one did. So, it is my pleasure now to give what we are calling the Top CFO Award to Cynthia Odom.”

“Being recognized for doing a job I love at an organization I love in a community I love is pure joy. It is my hope that a girl who looks like me is inspired by my life’s journey and will run their own multi-million-dollar organization,” Odom said.

“Today, this award is indeed a blessing to my life. It encourages me to keep going and see what else life has in store,” she said.
