Fort Worth Chamber names Nurdin chairman, elects new officers

The Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce elected new officers, committee chairmen and incoming directors at its April 21 board of directors meeting.

Officers are: Chairman Mark Nurdin, CEO-Fort Worth region, Bank of Texas; Vice Chairman Allyson Baumeister, principal, CLA Fort Worth; Treasurer Wade Wallace, regional president, Southwest Bank-Fort Worth region; and Bill Thornton, president and CEO of the Fort Worth Chamber.

Incoming directors are: Michael Appleman, Cantey Hanger LLP; Marianne Auld, Kelly Hart & Hallman LLP; John Avila, Thos S. Byrne LTD; John Black, Merrill Lynch & Co.; Robert Briggs, Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty; JJ Cawelti, Bell Helicopter; Brian Happel, BBVA Compass; John Jarrett, Jetta Operating Co. Inc.; Pat McDowell, Jones Lang LaSalle; Lisa Rettew, Luther King Capital Management; and Wyntress Ware, Ware & Associates.

New board/committee chairmen are: East Area Council: Evan Eastman, Spectrum Business; Southwest Area Council: Amir Mirzadeh, Frost Bank, Alta Mesa; West Area Council: Michael Wheaton, Lucien Wright Insurance; North Area Council: Mandy Forbus, Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Alliance; Central Area Council: Dione Kennedy, Performing Arts Fort Worth Inc.; and Vision FW Chair: Nicole Stanley, Frost Bank, downtown.
