Frost Tarrant County has promoted Robyn Martin to senior vice president for personal trust in the downtown Fort Worth office and Leah Schoenfeld to vice president for private banking in Tanglewood.
Hadley Woener, region president of Frost Tarrant County, also said the bank has named Brandy Lee to vice president for corporate banking, Clearfork, and Rick Kastner to vice president for corporate banking, Keller.
The Fort Worth Employees’ Retirement Fund board of trustees on Dec. 10 announced the departure of Joelle Mevi, who had been the fund’s executive director/chief investment officer since March 2014. She has been responsible for management and oversight of the fund’s $2.2 billion investment portfolio and benefit programs serving more than 11,000 retired and active city employees.
“On behalf of Fort Worth Employees’ Retirement Fund board of trustees and staff, we thank Joelle for her service to our members and to the City of Fort Worth,” said board Chairman Todd Cox. Benita Falls Harper, who has been the fund’s legal counsel since 2017, will serve as interim executive director.

Bob Moore Construction has named Mark Duvall the company’s new vice president of pre-construction services. Duvall started his career at Bob Moore Construction in 2012 as estimator. He graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma. In 2017, he received an MBA from Texas Christian University.

Tobi Jackson, president of the Fort Worth Independent School District Board of Education and District 2 trustee, has been named to the Center for Public Policy Priorities’ board of directors. The center is an independent public policy organization headquartered in Austin. It uses data and analysis to advocate for solutions that enable all Texans to reach their full potential.

Shoppa’s Material Handling has appointed Greg Jaynes to chief financial officer at Shoppa’s Material Handling and Shoppa’s Mid America.
Jaynes graduated from Texas A&M University in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and joined a large regional public accounting firm in Dallas. A certified public accountant, he has spent his career with manufacturing and distribution companies in the Dallas area, most recently at Riveron Consulting, where he worked for M&M Refrigeration.
HEALTH CARE
John Corbeil, chief operating officer at Medical City Fort Worth since March 2016, has been named the new chief executive officer of HCA Houston Healthcare’s Kingwood Medical Center, effective Jan. 14.
He succeeds Melinda Stephenson, who is retiring.
Corbeil had been with HCA’s North Texas/Medical City Healthcare Division for six years and has served as associate chief operating officer at Medical City Dallas, assistant administrator at Medical City Fort Worth and administrative fellow at the HCA North Texas Division office.
He is a board member of The University of Iowa’s College of Public Health and Fort Worth’s Near Southside Inc.
HONORS & AWARDS
Tarrant County’s Credit Union vice president of operations, Shelli McCoy, received the 2018 Joe Biden Award for Development Educator of the Year at a Nov. 17 awards dinner in Manchester, England.
It was the first time someone from North America has received the honor.
McCoy won for a project she conceived and directed in the Renaissance Heights area of Southeast Fort Worth.
Entries for the awards were received from Asia, Africa, Europe, and, for the first time, North America.
“The winner of the inaugural Joe Biden Award for the Development Educator of the Year from North America is a woman who is an exemplar of everything that being a Development Educator is,” said Barry Epstein of the International Credit Union Leadership Development & Education Foundation, which presented the award.
McCoy is a member of the board of Renaissance Heights United, described as a community “quarterback” organization. It is a nonprofit formed of other nonprofit organizations, real estate developers and community leaders focused on a 200-acre site in southeast Fort Worth that was occupied by the Masonic Home and School of Texas before its closure in 2005.
The closing of the Masonic Home opened it for development in an area of the city that is considered, among other things, to be a food desert because of the lack of retail in the area.

SVN/Trinity Advisors has added Steven Geis, who has more than $100 million in multifamily sales to his credit, as a senior adviser.
Geis has sold properties across the state with a focus on North Texas. He has worked with institutional buyers, student housing developers and local owners on the listing side and with buyers looking to add to their portfolio.
CENTURY 21 Judge Fite Company has named Kristal Amador as chief marketing officer. Amador previously was director of marketing for the company.
