Fort Worth home sales decreased 3.9 percent to 1,244 homes in July 2019. The median price for Fort Worth homes increased 0.1 percent year-over-year to $230,282 in July 2019.

“July saw home prices continue to stabilize,” said Moiri Brown, 2019 President of the Greater Fort Worth Association of REALTORS. “Sales were still down, but we are seeing more homes come onto the market. This could be beneficial to buyers that were previously priced out of the market.”

Fort Worth’s monthly housing inventory was 2.7 months in July 2019, 0.2 months more than the year prior. The Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University cites that 6.5 months of inventory represents a market in which supply and demand for homes is balanced.

Homes spent an average of 35 days on the market in July 2019, six days more than July 2018. Additionally, active listings increased 4 percent to 2,868 listings during the same time frame.
