Hopkins joins Granbury Chamber as VP of Economic Development

Shea Hopkins

The Granbury Chamber of Commerce has announced Shea Hopkins as the Vice President of Economic Development, effective Oct. 9. Hopkins comes to Granbury from the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, where she served as the director of business recruitment.

“I’m honored to be able to bring both my private and public sector experience to the Granbury Chamber,” Hopkins said in a news release.

“Economic development is a passion of mine. It gives you the ability to impact not only the economic structure of the community but improve the overall quality of life. Granbury is already overflowing with Texas charm and perfectly poised for growth,” she said.

Hopkins said her recent experience with the Abilene Industrial Foundation and the Fort Worth Chamber has given her insight into what companies’ needs are in talent, real estate, and quality of life.

“The Granbury Chamber of Commerce, the City of Granbury, the Hood County Commissioners, and the business community, are fortunate to have an advocate with Shea’s resume, in their court,” said Mike Scott, President and CEO of the Granbury Chamber of Commerce.

“Chris Coffman and I have worked with Shea previously on a few projects, and were impressed by her tenacity and passion for economic development. We are confident in her ability to put Granbury and Hood County in front of companies that will bring professional jobs to Granbury, especially in manufacturing and technology, Scott said in the release.
