Starpower to open new Tarrant County store in partnership with Ed Kellum & Sons Appliances

Starpower Southlake

Dallas-based high-end entertainment and home automation retailer Starpower Home Entertainment Systems Inc. will open a new 15,000 square foot, multi-million-dollar concept store in Southlake in 2017, the company announced Aug. 4. The new location will feature Ed Kellum & Son Appliances as well as Starpower’s concepts.

“The relationship with Ed Kellum & Son has been a tremendous success. The tenured employees and outstanding service culture for upscale appliances fits extremely well under the Starpower umbrella. We are excited to bring Southlake, Texas, and the greater Tarrant County, Texas, area something unlike any other retail experience,” said David Pidgeon, CEO of Starpower.

Starpower’s existing location on Southlake Boulevard will be relocated to the new showroom at 1600 East Southlake Boulevard in early 2017. Starpower will more than triple its staff at that. Designed by Phil White, previously of L Brands Inc., who has worked on designs for Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works and The Limited retailers.

Pidgeon also serves as Chairman of the Consumer Technology Association, the owner of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
