Eatzi’s, Bread Winners cook up 2017 Fort Worth openings

Two new restaurants are scheduled to open in 2017 at University Park Village, the open-air lifestyle center just south of Interstate 30 in Fort Worth.

Bread Winners Bakery & Bistro and Eatzi’s Market & Bakery are both set to replace restaurants that are leaving the center.

Bread Winners Café & Bakery offers casual, but upscale dining options. The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner and a weekend brunch. The new 6,300 square foot space, formerly Blue Mesa Grill, will feature a familiar French-bistro feel, with classic architectural touches and old-world charm, according to a news release from Simon, the real estate firm that owns University Park Village.

Next up is Dallas-based Eatzi’s Market & Bakery, a European-style eatery that serves a wide variety of dishes from grilled meats and seafood to fresh sushi, custom sandwiches and salads, cheese, pastries and wine. The meals are prepared on-site from scratch daily, by teams of culinary-trained chefs. Situated on the south side of University Park Village next to Jos A Banks, Eatzi’s will be taking over 5,264 square-feet of the location currently occupied by Chili’s.

Founded by Dallas restauranteur Phil Romano, the first Eatzi’s opened in Dallas in 1996.

The Impeccable Pig, a fashion-forward women’s clothing boutique, will occupy the remaining 1,254 square-feet of the current Chili’s space.

“We are proud to welcome Bread Winners and Eatzi’s to University Park Village,” said Holly Conner, director of marketing and business development. “Both highly anticipated additions to the Fort Worth dining scene, these Dallas foodie favorites are sure to be a hit with our loyal shoppers and visitors alike.”
