The Foundry District will be hosting family-friendly day of community support and giving from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9, titled Winter Wonderland in The Foundry District, which will take place at 2621 Whitmore St. in Fort Worth.

Fort Worth locals will ring in the season at Feathers, Inspiration Alley and The Violet Room for seasonal shopping and participation in community.

M2G Ventures believes that the holidays are about coming together and giving, and during Winter Wonderland at The Foundry District the company invites Fort Worth residents to participate in the creation of the District’s newest art installation — The Found-Tree.

Constructed by acclaimed local artist Katie Murray, the community project will come to life through a composition of ‘found objects’ in the form of a tree. Participants are encouraged to bring an item (something found, unique, or random) to be included in the collaborative sculpture. The Found-Tree will remain in the District during the holiday season (Dec 9 – Jan 15) for visitors to enjoy.

The Found-Tree will be on display for guests to enjoy as they listen to the holiday soundtrack provided by Ronnie The Red Nose Deejay (Ronnie Heart) and indulge in a hot chocolate bar.

Guests can get their fill of hot chocolate and cider with Quarry Coffee Bar while they have their holiday gifts decorated at a duel “Rapping/Wrapping” Station.

The “Wrapping” Station, manned by volunteers, will gift wrap your holiday treasures for a suggested donation of $5 per present — while the “Rapping” Station will feature fun and festive rap renditions of holiday classics from Diverse Visionary Artist Production’s Young Artists.

All proceeds from the event will benefit The Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation.
