Tarrant County College Chancellor Eugene Giovannini will attend a Department of Labor worker-trainer initiatives meeting at the White House on June 14.
“Tarrant County College is deeply connected to the economic and social well-being of the region and state,” Giovannini said in a news release. “TCC generates tremendous value, not only in preparing students to enter the workforce and thrive, but in creating sustainable and measurable economic vitality for alumni, businesses and taxpayers.”
During the trip, Giovannini will work to build partnerships that will have a positive impact on Tarrant County with business leaders, elected officials and others, according to a TCC news release.
TCC recently developed a new partnership with Toyota Motors North America, the Technician Training and Education Network Program (T-TEN), which will be a state of the art automotive training program. T-TEN will allow students the ability to gain national certification as well as the opportunity for employment with Toyota and Lexus dealerships in a five-state region.
