Thai Bodywork Practitioner Donna Ryckaert is hosting a Thai Yoga Workshop at the Arlington Yoga Center from 3-4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 27. Ryckaert received her certification through the Thai Bodywork School in Chicago, Illinois.

“In this workshop you will give and receive the sacred healing art of Thai Yoga which combines assisted yogic stretches, rhythmic pressure and breathwork,” the website reads. “You will experience improved flexibility and circulation, a release of sore and tense muscles and a deep sense of opening and relaxation.”

Advanced registration is required for the class, which is open and suitable for any level of yoga practitioner. Participants may bring a partner to work with or may come alone and be paired up.

Participants should bring a pillow, yoga mat, water and blanket, as well as dress in yoga attire or comfortable, loose clothing.

Thai Yoga aims to “promote inner peace and a quiet mind, also bringing improved range of motion, vitality, and renewal of your body,” the website days.
