In the earliest weeks of the 2019-20 influenza season, MedStar crews already are responding to more patients with flu-like illnesses compared to last year.
September calls were up by 22% over the previous year, and calls in October were up 35%.

To help reverse this early trend, MedStar will take a mobile flu vaccination clinic to any location with a group of 10 or more people to be vaccinated. The program has provided flu shots to more than 400 people so far this season.
