Another California company is headed to Texas, this time it’s Jamba Inc. known for its Jamba Juice retail outlets.
The Emeryville, California company plans to relocate to Frisco’s Hall Office Park development, leasing 25,000 square feet of space.
Over the next six months Jamba will transition its California support center operations to Frisco, which will serve as headquarters for the company known for a variety of smoothies.
“Jamba has pursued our vision to inspire and simplify healthy living for 26 years, starting with a single juice shop in San Luis Obispo, California, but as we continue to spread our healthy living mission globally, it has become increasingly clear that a relocation of our Support Center will better position the company to extend our brand and continue to support our franchise partners for the long term,” said David A. Pace, CEO of Jamba, which trades on the NASDAQ under the JMBA symbol.
The new “Jamba Whirl’d Center” will be located in Hall Office Park at 3001 Dallas Parkway, an eight-story, Class AA office building, and will include approximately 19,000 square feet of office and meeting space, as well as an approximately 6,000-square-foot test kitchen and store front. The center will house the company’s operations, business development, sales and marketing, finance, supply chain, technology, and human resources.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Robbie Baty and Bill McClung brokered the lease on behalf of Jamba Juice and successfully negotiated municipal and state incentives, securing grants from both the city of Frisco and the Texas Enterprise Fund. Hall Group’s Kim Butler, Brad Gibson and Tammy Nellis completed the lease on behalf of Hall Office Park.
“Through our extensive site search and municipal incentives negotiations, 3001 Dallas Parkway in Hall Office Park and the city of Frisco stood above all the other options,” said Robbie Baty, Director for Cushman & Wakefield’s Brokerage Services Group. “The can-do attitude of the Hall team, the Frisco Economic Development Corporation, the mayor of Frisco, and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott all made this initiative succeed on an extremely tight timeline.”
The most recent building developed at Hall Office Park, 3001 Dallas Parkway is surrounded by the park’s abundant green space. The LEED-Certified building features an art collection and great visibility with its superior location on the Dallas North Tollway, offering convenient access to Frisco’s wide array of residential and retail areas, along with sporting and entertainment venues. Jamba Juice’s lease brings 3001 Dallas Parkway, and the office park as a whole, to 94 percent leased.

In all, Jamba Juice expects to employ approximately 100 people in Frisco, with a portion of the positions to be filled by employees who relocate from California, combined with those newly-hired in Texas. As of March 29, there were 885 Jamba stores system-wide, of which 817 are franchise-operated stores and 68 are company-owned.
