Fort Worth’s Trademark Property Co. announced Wednesday that Cinépolis USA will open an eight-screen, 700-seat luxury theater in Dallas’ Victory Park, marking the Mexico City-based chain’s first foray into Texas.

Called Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas-Victory Park, the theater is expected to open in 2017 and will occupy about 44,000 square feet at the northwest corner of Victory Park Lane and High Market Street. It will be part of a multilevel mixed-use building that will include residential, Trademark said in a news release

Trademark is working on a plan to reposition the retail segment of Victory Park with an estimated completion in late 2015, according to the company.

Cinépolis is a luxury theater that offers fully-reclining leather seat auditoriums, high-tech sound systems and high-definition projection technology. The theater will have an upscale lounge-style lobby space and a gourmet menu with in-theater waiter service.

“The new Victory Park couldn’t be a better fit for our entry into the Dallas market as its commitment to bringing in top-tier partners, its attention to detail and its excellent location will draw loyal and enthusiastic guests,” Neil Baron, Cinépolis USA vice president of real estate, said in a statement.

Cinépolis USA is the U.S. based division on the company that is based in Mexico City and is the largest movie chain in Mexico. It opened its first theater in Del Mar, California in 2011 and has since expanded to Florida.

In a separate deal, Trademark, which took over managing and leasing of Uptown Village at Cedar Hill in summer 2014, and announced a multi-million dollar renovation of the center earlier this year, has added H&M to the list of retailers coming to the center. A 21,000-square-foot location is set to open in the fall of this year.
