Sales tax collections are up, with Fort Worth reporting a $9,205,783 net figure for November 2013, up from $937,805, or 11.3 percent, from the same month in the previous year.
The latest figures are the highest on record for November.
The city expects to collect $1,103,951, or 0.9 percent, more than the adopted fiscal year 2014 adopted budget.
“While the early results for the fiscal year are encouraging, city staff is maintaining a conservative forecast due to uncertainty in the national economic picture and potential audit adjustments,” said a city news release.
Sales tax revenue represents about 20 percent of the city’s general fund budget.
