Holland Services of Fort Worth has acquired AED Group, a step toward deepening its business in Texas and Colorado operations.

The deal makes sense, as both firms secure leases for exploration and competed in the same industry, according to Holland COO Bryan Gaudin.

“While our companies technically competed, remarkably, our projects and clients are more complementary and that is what made AED Group so attractive to Holland,” Gaudin said.

Holland plans to transition all AED Group employees into its ranks.

“We’re excited to welcome so many talented professionals into the Holland team,” Gaudin said.

While no layoffs were announced, officials anticipate some office space consolidation.

Gaudin acknowledged some “overlaps” regarding some of the companies’ office locations. “In those instances, once the leases have expired, we may consolidate the teams into a single space,” Gaudin said.

Privately owned Holland has offices in Fort Worth, Houston, Midland, Denver and Oklahoma City, among others. The company helps oil and gas companies acquire, sell and develop land and mineral rights. More information is available at www.hollandservices.com
