Darr Equipment LP, a material handling and construction equipment dealer based in Southlake, has acquired the dealerships of Adobe Equipment Houston LLC for an undisclosed amount. The deal expands Darr into the Houston market, adding several market segments, product lines and employees. The addition of the Adobe Equipment dealerships brings Darr’s employee count to about 500, with 15 branches located from Tulsa, Okla., to Houston. The Adobe Equipment dealerships employ more than 260 people with six branch locations in Houston, one branch in Beaumont and a recently opened branch in Lake Charles, La. Darr Equipment is celebrating its 60th year in business. Major material handling equipment lines for Darr include Caterpillar, Mitsubishi, Jungheinrich, Kalmar and JCB. Adobe’s lines include Nissan/UniCarriers.
