Lanny’s restaurant to close and reopen under new concept and name

Lanny P. Lancarte II, chef and owner of Lanny’s Alta Cocina Mexicana for the past nine years in Fort Worth’s Cultural District, will dish up his last plate on June 28 and reopen the eatery in early August under a new name and concept. Righteous Foods, the new café in the same space at 3405 W. Seventh Street, will feature fresh, whole foods at breakfast, lunch and early dinner by the same kitchen and same chefs as Lanny’s.

“We’ve always pursued a dynamic dining experience that constantly pushes boundaries and forges the unexpected, Lancarte said. “My heart has been pulling me in a different direction, and it’s time for a change. We have an exciting one in store.” The new restaurant will offer curbside service and a to-go counter. Lanny’s Catering will continue to cater private events from the same space. Until then, Lanny’s Alta Cocina Mexicana will be open for lunch Tuesday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and dinner Tuesday through Saturday from 5:30 to 9 p.m. -Betty Dillard bdillard@bizpress.net
