TCU Dean of Admission Heath Einstein has been named the Fort Worth university’s vice provost for enrollment management.
Einstein is a nationally recognized leader in the field of college admission and his promotion followed a nationwide search, TCU said in a news release. He will assume his new position on May 1.
As vice provost for enrollment management, Einstein will lead Texas Christian University’s undergraduate enrollment and retention strategies and provide guidance and oversight for the offices of registrar, financial aid and enrollment systems and analytics, the release said. He will report directly to the provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs and work closely with the chancellor, president and other academic leaders.
“Heath has excelled as dean of admission, so I look forward to his continued dedication to our students and their academic experience in this advanced leadership role,” Interim Provost Floyd L. Wormley, Jr., said. “He has demonstrated that he has the skills, commitment and true Horned Frog passion to lead TCU’s enrollment strategies now and into the future.”
Under Einstein’s leadership with the Office of Admission, TCU application records have been made, broken and continue to climb, surpassing 20,000 for the first time in the university’s history, the release said. Undergraduate enrollment has increased 29%. As a champion of inclusive excellence, Einstein has made the TCU application more accessible and student body diversity has seen record improvement.
“As TCU embarks on its next 150 years, I am excited to help lead the effort to ensure the university’s strategic priorities are supported by a robust, talented and diverse student body,” Einstein said. “I look forward to collaborating with campus partners in this endeavor and am grateful for the privilege to oversee a premier enrollment management division.”
Einstein holds a Master of Public Policy degree from Georgetown University and Bachelor of Arts in political science from George Washington University. Before joining TCU as director of freshman admission in 2012, he served as associate director of college counseling at The Hockaday School in Dallas from 2008 to 2012; director of college counseling for Solomon Schechter School of Westchester in New York from 2004 to 2008; and assistant director of admissions for The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., from 2001 to 2004.
TCU is a values-centered private university with enrollment of 12,785, including 10,915 undergraduates and 1,870 graduate students.
