Navigator Energy announces binding open season

  A. Lee Graham Reporter   Navigator Energy Services LLC of Dallas has commenced a binding open season to solicit long-term shipper commitments of crude oil from non-affiliated shippers on a new crude oil pipeline system.   The pipeline, known as Big Spring Gateway or BSG , originates near Big Spring for deliveries to just outside Colorado City, Texas.    The BSG system, expected to reach operation in late 2014, will offer about 190 miles of new crude oil gathering and transmission pipelines in Howard, Martin, Mitchell, Borden and Glasscock counties in Texas.   The BSG is expected to receive and transport up to 75,000 barrels of oil per day for redelivery to downstream pipelines originating at the Colorado City Tank Farm in Scurry County, Texas.   The BSG is expected to have operational storage capacity totaling about 250,000 barrels with an additional 200,000 barrels of planned storage capacity available for third-party lease.    The binding open season begins Sept. 18, 2013, and ends at noon Oct.18, 2013.
