FORT WORTH, Texas – Following the Regional Finals this past weekend, eight NCAA women’s gymnastics teams punched their tickets to compete at Dickies Arena on Thursday, April 17 with the hopes of advancing to the National Championship on Saturday, April 19.
Semifinal Session 1, Thursday, April 17 at 3:30p.m. CT
Alabama, Florida, Missouri, Oklahoma – Broadcast on ESPN2
Semifinal Session 2, Thursday, April 17 at 8:00p.m. CT
LSU, Michigan State, UCLA, Utah – Broadcast on ESPN2
National Championship, Saturday, April 19 at 3:00p.m. CT
Top two scoring teams from Semifinal Session 1 and top two scoring teams from Semifinal Session 2 – Broadcast on ABC
In addition to the eight teams competing, 20 individual competitors who are not members of a qualifying team will compete in the all-around and event specialist competition during the two semifinals. Olympic team member and gold medalist, Jade Carey will compete in Fort Worth again as an individual qualifier.
LSU is seeking to defend their title after winning the program’s first national championship in 2024 in Dickies Arena. Florida, Utah, LSU, Oklahoma all return to Fort Worth after competing in the national championship session last year. Michigan State makes their first appearance since 1988. Alabama also returns after competing in last year’s semifinal. Fans can expect an exciting atmosphere and the chance to see many outstanding collegiate and Olympic athletes.
As the teams prepare to arrive in Fort Worth, the National Championship trophy will make several stops around town prior to competition kicking off Thursday, April 17. Below are the dates and locations fans can get their picture with the National Championship trophy before it arrives at Dickies Arena.
Wednesday, April 9 – 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.CT – Fort Worth Museum of Science and History
Friday, April 11 – 2:00 p.m. CT – Fort Worth Botanic Garden – Butterfly House
Friday, April 11 – 3:00 p.m. CT – Fort Worth Botanic Garden – Rose Garden and Pollinator Path
Other stops include the Fort Worth Zoo, Sundance Square, TCU’s campus, Mule Alley and more. Follow Dickies Arena on social for updates on where the Trophy will be around Fort Worth.
