TRWD releases updated Integrated Water Supply Plan

The Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) released an updated Integrated Water Supply Plan (IWSP) on Tuesday that will guide the Water District’s efforts to meet the water supply needs of one of the fastest growing regions in the country.

This long-term strategy outlines how TRWD will continue to provide reliable, affordable, and sustainable water to the communities it serves for the next 50 years and beyond. The plan evaluates future water supply options, policies, and management strategies to meet growing demand while staying aligned with community values. The District’s previous Integrated Water Supply Plan was adopted in 2014.

“This plan reflects our commitment to proactive planning and ensuring clean, dependable water is available for future generations,” said Dan Buhman, TRWD’s General Manager. “This document will serve as our roadmap to ensure we meet the needs of the millions of people we serve today and for decades to come.”

Public comments on the plan will be accepted until September 16th. To view the IWSP and learn more, visit www.trwd.com.
