Final call for registration as Fort Worth’s signature community race approaches
Fort Worth, Texas – With just two weeks until race day, the fourth annual Race on Race Street sponsored by Rebuild Texas is gearing up for its biggest turnout yet. The Oct. 11 event in Fort Worth’s Riverside neighborhood offers something for every runner, from the one-mile fun run to the challenging half marathon, plus this year’s new 5K ruck run.
“We’re in the final stretch now, and the excitement is building,” said Ron Green, health and wellness coach and owner of PT Fitness. “Whether you’re putting the finishing touches on your training or deciding to jump in at the last minute, there’s still time to be part of something special in our community.”
The scenic route takes runners from Race Street to the Trinity River with stunning views of downtown Fort Worth, then follows the river through east Fort Worth’s natural beauty. Participants will experience serene wildlife and greenery before returning to celebrate with local businesses and organizations in “vendor alley.” This year’s race continues to draw runners from across the country, building on the event’s reputation for showcasing the beauty and hospitality of east Fort Worth’s Riverside district.

“The Race on Race Street is a wonderful showcase for District 11 and the historic Riverside neighborhood,” said Jeanette Martinez, Fort Worth City Council Member for District 11. “This part of our city has such a rich history and unique character, from the beautiful Trinity River corridor to the local businesses that give Race Street its authentic charm. Events like this give Fort Worth residents from across the city a chance to discover what many of us already know: that east Fort Worth is full of hidden gems and incredible community spirit.”
Registration remains open for all distances, though organizers encourage early sign-up as several categories are filling quickly. Before and after the race, participants can explore local boutiques, restaurants and the neighborhood coffee shops along Race Street.
