The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), the Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD), and the City of Fort Worth are hosting an in-person open house from 6 – 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, at Northside Community Center to share information about the Fort Worth Modified Central City (FWCC) Project. The public may visit the open house any time between 6 and 7:30 p.m.
The FWCC project is a vital initiative to manage flood risk to protect thousands of homes, businesses and over 1 million people in the 11th largest city in the country. The project is led by USACE in partnership with TRWD and the City of Fort Worth. The Project will work to improve key infrastructure and involves rerouting a section of the Trinity River and modifying Gateway Park to better manage future flood events.

The public is invited to join USACE, TRWD, and City of Fort Worth at this come-and-go event to learn more about the Fort Worth Modified Central City Project and receive information about upcoming project developments.
The event will be conducted in English. Project materials will be available in English and Spanish and Spanish interpretation services will be available during the open house.
