Nov. 11: Economic Impact Forum
Building on discussions from the Fort Worth Chamber’s “State of Economic Impact” this past May, the Chamber will host the first session in its new “Economic Impact Forum” series, presented by Cadence Bank. The program will explore two timely issues:
From Policy to Profit: How Tariffs are Shaping Business Today – and What’s Next for the Holiday Season and Beyond
Shane Williams, Managing Director of Global Trade at Ernst & Young; JR Holcomb, Director of Foreign-Trade Zone #196 at Hillwood; and Joshua Griffith, Development Manager of Hillwood’s Multifamily division and Managing Director of Foreign-Trade Zone #196, will discuss how current trade policies and tariffs are influencing supply chains, operations and profitability for North Texas businesses. The discussion will examine how policy shifts may affect everything from holiday inventories to long-term growth strategies.
FBI Security Briefing: Protecting Business and Community from Evolving Threats
Experts from the FBI will outline the most pressing cyber threats they are tracking, from “man in the middle” attacks to sophisticated breaches targeting businesses of all sizes. The discussion will address how such incidents can ripple across local economies, what steps leaders can take to prepare, and how companies should respond if targeted. The session includes an open Q&A with agents on the front lines of cybersecurity. Date: Tuesday, Nov. 11
Time: 8:30-11 a.m.
Location: Kimbell Art Museum – Renzo Piano Pavilion, 3333 Camp Bowie Blvd., Fort Worth
