The Parenting Center is honored to announce it has received a generous grant from the Texas Bar
Foundation in support of its child abuse prevention and family strengthening programs. This
funding will enable The Parenting Center to expand trauma-informed services that reduce child
abuse and neglect, strengthen family relationships, and support justice-involved parents with
tailored, impactful education.
“Thanks to the Texas Bar Foundation, we can reach more families who need support,
understanding, and the tools to break cycles of trauma,” said Erika Jobe, Director of
Development of The Parenting Center. “Their investment helps ensure that parents are equipped
to create safer, healthier environments for their children.”
Since its inception in 1965, the Texas Bar Foundation has awarded more than $30 million in
grants to law-related programs. Supported by members of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Bar
Foundation is the nation’s largest charitably-funded bar foundation.
The grant awarded to The Parenting Center will help advance critical child abuse prevention
efforts through evidence-based parent education, supportive services for families facing
adversity, and programs designed specifically for parents involved in the justice system. By
increasing access to these resources, The Parenting Center will continue its mission of providing
family members and professionals with the tools, resources and services to build successful
families.
The Parenting Center extends its deepest gratitude to the Texas Bar Foundation for its
commitment to protecting children and promoting justice through education, advocacy, and
community support.
