Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County Introduces Trustees – A Distinguished Circle of Community Leaders

FORT WORTH, Texas (Dec. 11, 2025) — Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County (BGCGTC) has announced the launch of its Trustees group, a lifetime-recognized circle of distinguished civic and philanthropic leaders whose long-standing support has shaped the organization and expanded opportunities for youth across North Texas.

The list of newly inducted Trustees includes Cindy Adams, Ashley and Alec Broadus, Karen and Larry Anfin, Marsha and Michael Baylor, Judy Rosenblum and John Broude, Mark Caffey, Kay and George Duggan, Jim Finley, Becky and Mike Gerro, Cheryl and Don Illingworth, Julie and John Landry, Anita and David Minor, and Maria and Patrick Walker.

The Trustees were established as BGCGTC approaches its centennial year in 2026 — a milestone that naturally brings reflection on the people whose influence has helped the Clubs serve generations of young people. Each Trustee has played a meaningful role in advancing youth opportunity through personal generosity, advocacy, and leadership within the community.

As an honorary board, the Trustee group brings together individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to BGCGTC and to the broader community. Their involvement provides invaluable visibility, influence, and symbolic leadership. Members lend their names, reputations, and long-standing support to elevate the organization’s mission to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Their participation often includes serving as ambassadors, endorsing community initiatives, and offering perspectives informed by their deep history of service and philanthropy.

“When prominent and dedicated individuals in our community choose to put their names alongside the Boys & Girls Clubs, it sends a powerful message,” said Daphne Barlow, BGCGTC CEO and president. “Their commitment strengthens our organization and inspires others to step forward, invest in our kids, and be part of something bigger than themselves.”

At a recent gathering at The Capital Grille, the Trustees were introduced and thanked for the leadership they’ve demonstrated throughout their involvement with the organization. Trustee Dr. John Landry offered a toast reflecting on their shared commitment to Fort Worth’s young people and the impact that collective stewardship can have on the community’s future.

“Your commitment has opened doors for thousands of youth across Tarrant County — helping them achieve academic success, lead healthy lifestyles, and develop strong character and leadership skills,” said Dr. Landry. “To you — our Trustees, thank you for leading with heart, vision, and dedication. You help light the path for every young person who walks through our Club doors. Here’s to all we’ve achieved together, and to the next 100 years of inspiring great futures.”

The formation of the Trustees’ honorary board marks a significant moment for BGCGTC as it prepares to enter its second century — honoring the legacy of those who have helped sustain the organization’s mission while acknowledging the work still ahead.
