FORT WORTH, TX — [December 18, 2025] – Big Brothers Big Sisters Greater Tarrant County is proud to announce a major achievement: the organization successfully created 271 new matches in 2025, meeting its ambitious goal for the year and setting the stage for even greater impact in 2026.
This milestone means hundreds of local youth now have a caring adult mentor—a “Big”—to provide guidance, encouragement, and a consistent presence in their lives. These one-on-one relationships help ignite the potential in every child, creating brighter futures for families and communities.
“We are thrilled to have reached this goal,” said Ozzie Smith, President of Big Brothers Big Sisters Greater Tarrant County. “Each match represents a life-changing connection. Our Bigs and Littles are building relationships that will have a lasting impact for years to come.”
Mentors spend just a few hours a month with their Little, engaging in everyday activities like visiting a park, sharing a meal, or exploring new interests. No special skills are required—just a genuine desire to make a difference.
