- Guided Hayrides: 45-minute tours that explore diverse habitats and native wildlife
- Canoeing: Scenic paddling on the West Fork of the Trinity River
- Expert Speakers: Topics ranging from Gardening for Wildlife to Plant Rescue
- Food trucks will be on-site throughout the event
The festival also includes a children’s discovery trail, nature crafts, family games, and a Native Plant Station where greenhouse volunteers will provide practical gardening tips.
A Partnership for the Future This year, Nature Con is made possible through the generous support of TotalEnergies E&P Barnett USA, LLC. This sponsorship is part of a broader partnership between TEEP Barnett, the Friends of the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge, and the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge, aimed at reinforcing sustainability and community wellbeing. “Events like Nature Con are vital for fostering a deep connection between our community and the local environment,” said Dr. Jared Wood, Manager of the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge. “With the support of partners like TotalEnergies, we are able to provide hands-on educational experiences that inspire the next generation of conservationists to protect our unique North Texas landscape.”
In addition to event sponsorship, TEEP Barnett supports critical initiatives at the Nature Center, including the restoration of native habitats, invasive species management, and wildlife protection programs. “Supporting the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge is an extension of who we are as a company,” said Leslie Garvis, Manager of Government Relations & Public Affairs with TEEP Barnett. “Our commitment to sustainability, education, and community enrichment aligns perfectly with the Refuge’s mission.”
