Fifth Annual Race on Race Street Returns this Fall

Lace up your running shoes and get ready to write your next chapter. The fifth annual Race on Race Street returns this fall, bringing runners, walkers and neighbors together under this year’s theme: “Every step has a story.” Registration is now open for the Oct. 10 event in Fort Worth’s Riverside district. Participants can choose from a variety of race options, including the one-mile fun run, 5K, 10K, half marathon and the crowd-favorite 5K ruck run. Whether you’re chasing a personal record, starting a new fitness journey or simply showing up for your community, every mile tells a story worth sharing.

“We know that every person who steps up to the start line has a reason, whether that’s a goal, a memory, a challenge or a celebration,” said Ron Green, health and wellness coach and owner of PT Fitness. “This year, we want to celebrate those stories. Whether it’s your first race or your fiftieth, your journey matters, and we invite you to share it with us.”

Participants are encouraged to submit their personal stories ahead of race day. Stories can be sent via the Race on Race Street website for a chance to be featured as part of this year’s event celebration.

The scenic course begins on Race Street and winds its way toward the Trinity River, offering runners sweeping views of downtown Fort Worth, peaceful stretches of greenery and glimpses of local wildlife along the way. The race highlights the natural beauty and unique character of the east side while creating a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Beyond the race itself, attendees can explore Vendor Alley, featuring local businesses and nonprofit organizations, as well as enjoy the shops, restaurants and coffee spots that make Riverside a growing destination in Fort Worth.

“In past years, we’ve welcomed runners from across the country and even around the world,” Green said. “What keeps people coming back is the sense of connection and the feeling that this is more than just a race. It’s a community event where every person and every story belongs.”
Proceeds from the Race on Race Street will once again benefit the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, helping support research, advocacy and patients impacted by the disease.
