Piattello Italian Kitchen to Become First Fort Worth-Owned and Operated Restaurant Concept to Join The Shops at ClearforkTM This Fall

Chef Marcus Paslay’s Italian Eatery Proves that Cowtown Hospitality Belongs Alongside Global Luxury

Piattello Italian Kitchen, the celebrated Italian concept from the From Scratch Hospitality group, is thrilled to officially announce its upcoming move to The Shops at ClearforkTM at the corner of Marathon Avenue and Ozona Boulevard this November (5137 Marathon Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76109). Founded by Fort Worth restaurateur Chef Marcus Paslay, Piattello’s new iteration will occupy 5,620 square feet with approximately 160 seats inside, 40 additional seats on the patio, and will add lunch service to its operation.

Piattello will establish a new home within The Shops at Clearfork’s new three-story, 70,000-square-foot building, The Offices at Clearfork, plans for which were announced in mid-2025. Tenants and visitors can expect a multi-use environment blending retail, dining, entertainment, public green space, residential and office space, and connectivity to the Trinity Trail system via walking and biking paths. Piattello will be the first and only Fort Worth-owned and operated restaurant in The Shops at Clearfork, bringing homegrown flavor and much-needed Italian fare amid the renowned global and regional brands encompassing the development. “After nearly 10 incredible years at Waterside, this move felt like the natural next step for our team,” says Chef Marcus Paslay. “We’re only moving about a mile down the road, which means we still get to serve the neighborhood and community that built Piattello from the beginning, while bringing a Fort Worth-owned concept into one of the city’s most visited and luxurious developments.

He continued, “We’re thrilled to be the first local restaurant to join Clearfork, and the opportunity also allows us to expand our hours with lunch and dinner service seven days a week so guests can enjoy Piattello even more often. From our from-scratch offerings, homemade pastas, and to the way we welcome every guest through the door, we believe our approach to hospitality is the perfect fit for the energy and experience Clearfork has crafted.”

Clearfork’s always-buzzing live, work, and play dynamic will allow Piattello to expand hours to lunch and dinner services seven days a week, while still executing Italian comfort classics in a cozy, welcoming environment. The menu will remain largely unchanged, save a few new additions, so guests can expect everything they already know and love. “All of the favorites are staying,” says Paslay. “We’ve gained a reputation for our from-scratch preparation and seasonal Italian fare, and we’re excited to continue that in Clearfork while bringing Texas hospitality to the center of Fort Worth’s most premium district.” New menu additions and updates will unroll later this summer and closer to the fall opening date.

In line with Clearfork’s airy atmosphere and social setting, Piattello’s new space will have a patio, meaning diners can enjoy al fresco meals and cocktail hour after full days of shopping at The Shops at Clearfork. The official, fall opening date is soon to be released, but expect celebrations to continue throughout the summer and into the new year, as Piattello celebrates its 10th anniversary in January 2027.  “Piattello is a natural addition to the retail, restaurant and mixed-use environment at The Shops at Clearfork, which continues to set the standard as Fort Worth’s premier walkable destination,” said Patrick Peterman, Senior Vice President, Mixed-Use, at Simon. “The restaurant’s fresh, ever-evolving menu reinforces the elevated, experience-driven offering that defines the center for both diners and shoppers. We’re grateful to Chef Paslay and the entire Piattello team for bringing this exciting new concept to life at Clearfork.”

The new mixed-use building, the most recently completed space in The Offices at Clearfork, also welcomes Wells Fargo as the anchor office tenant, leasing the top floor and part of the second floor, while Piattello Italian Kitchen will be the restaurant anchor tenant on the ground floor alongside retail, encompassing approximately 22,000 square feet.
