The RFP is seeking partners for development on tracts of land around the field
Fort Worth ISD extended the deadline for the updated Request for Proposals (RFP) for Farrington Field, asking developers to submit proposed plans for the land surrounding the structure to help fund updates to Farrington Field. Changes to the RFP come after the district gathered community feedback on its hopes for Farrington Field.
The RFP is clear that if a developer wants to buy the land where Billingsley field house is located, it must describe the intended use for the site and plans to preserve the legacy and historic aspects of the structure.
It also states that any plans submitted in the RFP must include plans to preserve the trees on the property to the maximum extent possible. The district has no plans or intentions to sell or demolish Farrington Field itself.
Submittals must be made through the district’s eBid Portal (IonWave) by noon on July 24. For more information visit www.fwisd.org/departments/procurement-services.
