Hot Diggity Dog: Man Bites Dog — 250 times – yet AGAIN!
Joey Chestnut returns to the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Competition at Coney Island this year, and a Fort Worth July 4 tradition continues, only with 10 bonus “dogs” to honor America’s 250th. Curly’s Frozen Custard will serve 250 free Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs on Saturday, July 4, continuing a six-year tradition. Founder and managing partner, Bourke Harvey, has discovered a better way to celebrate our nation’s birthday: Feed a free Nathan’s Famous quarter-pound hot dog to his first 250 visitors – FOR FREE.
Instead of offering 240 free hot dogs, Harvey raised the number to 250 to celebrate America’s 250th. “It’s a great way to start celebrating early, and customers love the free hot dogs on our nation’s birthday.” These are the same quarter-pound Nathan’s Famous hot dogs that Curly’s has become famous for, so this is a Texas-sized treat. “The first 250 guests on the 4th of July will also receive a free miniature American flag – Made in America, of course! We’re celebrating our nation’s birthday in style.”
Visitors to Curly’s on July 4 may use the drive-through window or the walk-up window on the patio starting at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 4, at its 4017 Camp Bowie Boulevard location. No purchase is required, and there is a limit of one free hot dog for each person in a group. While enjoying a Nathan’s Famous hot dog, guests may also place regular orders from the Curly’s menu.
He concludes, “Nathan’s Famous is The Official Hot Dog of Summer, and Curly’s is happy to serve 250 for free to loyal patrons and our community to celebrate America’s 250th.”
Curly’s Frozen Custard is celebrating its 24th anniversary this summer and has always been located at 4017 Camp Bowie Boulevard. The green turf on its patio creates an elevated guest experience in a pet-friendly environment. Bourke Harvey is the founder, managing partner, and Chief Concept Officer. Curly’s has been named Fort Worth’s Favorite Frozen Treat numerous times in large part because of the immense popularity of its Parker County Peach frozen custard. Curly’s was most recently once again awarded the Reader Favorite by 360 Magazine.
