Fort Worth Musicians Set to Perform at the 6th Annual Cowtown GitDown
Fort Worth returns to Music City for the 6th Annual Cowtown GitDown, bringing eleven local musicians to one of the country’s premier Americana gatherings. The free showcase takes place at Tennessee Brew Works on Thursday, September 17 from 11:30 a.m.–7p.m.
The Cowtown GitDown is more than a music showcase; it’s a strategic destination marketing investment for Fort Worth. By taking Fort Worth musicians to one of the country’s most influential music industry gatherings, Visit Fort Worth places the city’s creative identity in front of thousands of artists, industry leaders, media, and fans from around the nation.
“When Fort Worth artists take the stage at AMERICANAFEST, they’re not just performing, they’re serving as ambassadors for a city with a deep, authentic music identity,” said Tom Martens, vice president of creative & music for Visit Fort Worth. “We’re dedicated to giving our local artists a national platform, and in doing so, we invite music fans, journalists, and industry leaders from across the country to discover the city that shaped the sound.”

“Fort Worth gave me a foundation I couldn’t have built anywhere else; the community, the venues, and the people who show up for each other,” said Matthew McNeal, Fort Worth musician. “Americana takes everything happening in Fort Worth and puts it directly in front of the people who need to see it. Events like this change how people think about our city and for musicians trying to decide where to build a career and a life, that perception matters more than most people realize.”
The full Cowtown GitDown experience extends beyond the stage.
