ARLINGTON – Medical City Arlington rapid response nurse Scott Beske, RN, has received HCA Healthcare’s 2026 Frist Humanitarian Award, one of the organization’s highest honors, recognizing his commitment to patients and service to communities locally and abroad.
The HCA Healthcare Awards of Distinction, which include the Frist Humanitarian Award, are the highest honors HCA Healthcare bestows on colleagues, physicians and volunteers. The Frist Humanitarian Award recognizes the highest achievements in serving others and honors individuals whose dedication to caregiving and community service exemplifies the highest standards of quality and personal commitment.
“We are incredibly proud to celebrate Scott as HCA Healthcare’s 2026 Frist Humanitarian Award recipient,” says Sharn Barbarin, CEO of Medical City Arlington. “Whether caring for a patient, supporting a colleague or serving someone in need, Scott leads with humility, compassion and an unwavering commitment to others. He truly embodies our mission to care for and improve human life, both inside and outside our hospital walls.”
Beske is a rapid response nurse at Medical City Arlington whose calm presence and clinical judgment have helped patients, families and colleagues through some of their most vulnerable moments. A 14-year colleague and Army veteran with 31 years of service in nursing, Beske is known for stepping forward wherever he is needed — at the bedside, across the hospital and in the community. He helped create Medical City Arlington’s rapid response team role, led education and mock codes, and developed tools that support nursing teams across the hospital.
His service also extends beyond work, from providing care and resources at the Arlington Shelter to joining a healthcare mission trip to Honduras. Whether providing compassionate support to patients during vulnerable moments or going out of his way to help someone in need, Scott leads with humility, skill and compassion. Beske’s dedication to patients and colleagues has also earned him numerous honors, including the 2026 DFW Great 100 Nurses Award, Physicians’ Choice Award and Angel Award.
Beske was recognized during a special HCA Healthcare Awards of Distinction ceremony at the organization’s headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee, on Sept. 29, 2026.
