FORT WORTH, Texas (Oct. 30, 2026) – A new Barnes & Noble location will open 10 am on Nov. 4 at Presidio Junction, a major shopping destination in fast-growing north Fort Worth. Younger Partners Investments (YPI) acquired the three-property, 375,000-square-foot Presidio Junction earlier this year.
Presidio Junction is located at the intersection of I-35W and North Tarrant Parkway. The bookstore, at 2329 Porter Creek Dr. will occupy the former Sun & Ski Sports space between Ross and TJ Maxx.
The new Barnes & Noble is over 12,000 square feet and will offer a comprehensive selection of books, toys, games, magazines, vinyl, DVDs, gift items and more. The new Presidio Junction location is one of two stores opening in Fort Worth this month, joining a second location in Fort Worth in Montgomery Plaza, near another YPI property, Artisan Circle.
Presidio Junction Barnes & Noble bookstore will kick off the grand opening at 10 am with local author Kayla Olsoncutting the ribbon and signing copies of her acclaimed book, The Great Outdoors. The costumed character, the Cat in the Hat, will also join the festivities and host special story time events over the weekend.
The new Presidio Junction store opening continues Barnes & Noble’s investment in the state as the bookseller reestablishes bookstores to communities across the country. Barnes & Noble will open eight stores in Texas this year, up from six new bookstores in 2025 and five in 2024. The new stores have been acclaimed for their design, showcasing the ambition of Barnes & Noble to create exceptional local bookstores that marry the best traditions of independent bookselling with the resources of the historic chain.
“We are very pleased to open this beautiful new Barnes & Noble in Fort Worth, adding another bookstore to our extraordinarily successful presence in Texas,” said James Daunt, CEO of Barnes & Noble. “There is no better place than a bookstore for holiday shopping and our talented team of booksellers are delighted to have their new store ready in time.”
Everyone who visits the new Presidio Junction Barnes & Noble during the grand opening will have access to exclusive deals, like $50 off any NOOK device. Customers can also save 40% on all DVD, Blu-ray and 4k Ultra HD movies.
“The addition of a new Barnes & Noble bookstore to the already impressive line-up of retailers at Presidio Junction provides shoppers with another national icon, just in time for the holiday shopping season,” said Presidio Junction ownership, Younger Partners Investments Co-President Kathy Permenter. “Barnes & Noble serves a diverse population of shoppers from families with children to seniors, in a warm, inviting atmosphere.”
