The Marine Reconnaissance Foundation (MRF) will host its annual Warrior
Classic Golf Tournament and the 250th Marine Corps Birthday Ball on November 14-15, 2025,
in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Lieutenant General Francis L. Donovan, USMC, Vice
Commander of U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), will serve as keynote speaker.
LtGen Donovan’s 38-year Marine Corps career spans leadership in infantry, reconnaissance, and
special operations, with commands ranging from Force Recon platoons to Marine Divisions, and
senior roles at MARSOC, JSOC, and USSOCOM.
Former Congresswoman Kay Granger praised the Foundation, saying:
“It is my sincere honor to be here to celebrate 250 years of service to the United States of
America, by the United States Marine Corps. As a long-time advocate for our military and their
families, personally, and while in Congress, I proudly support the amazing work of the Marine
Reconnaissance Foundation and its volunteers. Their dedication to our veterans who have paid
the ultimate sacrifice, their Gold Star families, and those who have returned home in need of
physical, emotional, and medical assistance, is exemplary. Thank you to everyone participating
in the 2025 Warrior Classic & Marine Corps Ball. You are truly helping to make an
immeasurable impact on the lives of those to whom we owe much.”
Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker added:
“The Marine Reconnaissance Foundation is a vital resource for the Recon Marine community,
providing scholarships, emergency assistance, family retreats, and legacy preservation for our
active-duty, veteran, and Gold Star families. Fort Worth is honored to welcome this
extraordinary community for the Marine Corps Birthday Ball on November 15 – celebrating 250
years of service, sacrifice, and commitment to our great nation.”
Proceeds from the Warrior Classic and Birthday Ball directly support programs for the Recon
Marine community, including Gold Star family retreats, emergency financial support for
veterans in crisis, and transition assistance for Marines returning to civilian life. As an all volunteer
organization, the Foundation ensures that every dollar raised goes directly to the
warriors and families it serves.
