Argent Financial Group, an independent fiduciary wealth management firm, has announced that Travis Gist has joined its Mineral Management division in Fort Worth as a mineral manager.
Gist, a Fort Worth native, is an accomplished mineral rights and land manager with more than 11 years of experience. He will report directly to David Luke, president of Argent Mineral Management.
“Travis’ qualifications for this position are exceptional,” Luke said. “We’re fortunate and pleased that someone with his vast experience in this exact field, at a high level, and in the same market is joining us at Argent Mineral Management.”
Gist comes to Argent from Wells Fargo Bank in Fort Worth, where he had served as assistant vice president/oil and gas advisory specialist since 2014, managing more than 150 accounts containing oil and gas assets across the country for high-net-worth private bank clients. He also served as the bank’s subject matter expert, managing the oil and gas assets held in estates, trusts and agency accounts.

Gist received his bachelor’s of business administration in management from Texas Tech University in 2008 where he was named to the dean’s honor list. He has been certified as a Registered Professional Landman and is a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen and the Fort Worth Association of Professional Landmen. He is also a member of the National Association of Royalty Owners.
