Business Assistance Center seeks entrants for business plan competition

The Fort Worth Business Assistance Center (BAC) and Presenting Sponsor Capital One Bank are looking for businesses to compete for more than $50,000 in cash and in-kind services.

Participants will be judged on how well they develop a business plan or enhance an existing plan that will reflect improvement in their market competitiveness and increase their bottom line.

Through a competitive selection process, 25 businesses will be provided one-on-one counseling, attend professional development workshops, and receive coaching from industry experts through the BAC and its partners, including the Tarrant Small Business Development Center and SCORE.

After presenting their written plans with judges, 10 will be selected to compete in October during a Pitch Night before judges. The top three will be finalists and will compete for the prize packages, which include cash of $6,000 for first, $4,000 for second and $2,000 for third. In addition, numerous businesses have donated in-kind services to the three winners.
