The Dallas Mavericks may not make the playoffs this season, but they may score a first next season when they begin accepting cryptocurrency payments for tickets.
Mavericks’ owner, tech entrepreneur and Shark Tank investor Mark Cuban confirmed on Twitter that next season fans can pay for tickets with cryptocurrency.
Elaborating later with CoinDesk, Cuban said the team would accept both bitcoin and ethers and possibly could accept some other currencies.
Cuban has invested in 1confirmation, a blockchain fund, along with other tech entrepreneurs like Peter Thiel and Marc Andreessen.
