Dallas Cowboys owner, Bank of America, launch payment solutions company

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has opened Blue Star Payment Solutions, a Dallas-based affiliated company of the team, in partnership with Bank of America Merchant Services.

Jones’ nephew, attorney Jerry Mooty, is president of the new company, which is focused initially on providing products and services to Texas business owners. Blue Star is the first payments solutions company with ties to an NFL team. Merchants that use Blue Star solutions will receive payment card processing, e-commerce solutions, m-commerce, point of sale equipment, including Clover POS, security and encryption products, and working capital solutions through Blue Star’s referral relationship with Bank of America.

“Bank of America Merchant Services is excited to work with a company focused on providing superior customer service and innovative solutions to its own clients,” said Tim Tynan, chief executive officer of Bank of America Merchant Services. “We have enjoyed supporting Blue Star through their launch and look forward to working with them as they grow.” As a member of the Blue Star family, each merchant will receive limited edition Cowboys’ merchandise, invitations to exclusive events and chances to attend Cowboys games, practices and training camp. Merchants also will be automatically enrolled into the Dallas Cowboys United Fan Club. “We are proud to partner with Blue Star Payment Solutions and Bank of America Merchant Services to connect with our fans and business owners in a new way – offering features and benefits never before seen in the credit card processing industry,” Jones said in a statement.
