Dallas Wings partners with Texas Capital Bank

The Dallas Wings announced Friday, June 8, a new multifaceted relationship with Texas Capital Bank, a news release said.

Dallas-based Texas Capital Bank is a commercial bank with locations in Texas’ five largest metros: Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio.

“We are thrilled with this new partnership with the Dallas Wings,” Effie Dennison, senior VP/director of Community Development and Corporate Social Responsibility at Texas Capital Bank, said in the release. “We appreciate the opportunity to work with an organization whose values of community service and outreach align so closely with ours. We look forward to serving our community together, helping to promote education and empower women and girls.”

The release explained that this season the company will partner with the Dallas Wings, Texas’ only WNBA team, as its title sponsor for Inspiring Women’s Night (We Rise Together).

The event is an initiative created by the WNBA to empower women of today, the release said. As part of the partnership, Texas Capital Bank will be visible throughout the arena, as well as mentioned in a special two-week marketing campaign throughout all digital and broadcast platforms.

The Wings will work alongside Texas Capital Bank on various community initiatives to promote, educate and empower women and girls, the release detailed, adding that all programs are designed to showcase the positive impact of basketball and education.

“The Wings organization is extremely thankful to partner with such an iconic Texas brand,” Charles Johnson, senior VP of Corporate Partnerships, said in the release. “We look forward to making a lasting impact together in the communities we serve.”

Along with the special theme night partnership, Texas Capital Bank will join forces with the club on the Lightning Legacy Readers Program, an incentive-based program to encourage youth throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area to read more, the release detailed. The two organizations will work together to secure donated books for elementary and middle school kids.

The Wings play their home games at College Park Center on the campus of the University of Texas at Arlington.
