Energy, cybersecurity companies rise; Avis, J.C. Penney sink

NEW YORK (AP) — Stocks that moved substantially or traded heavily Monday:

FireEye Inc., up $1.11 to $15.90

Shares in cybersecurity firms were in focus as a global cyberattack on computers continued.

Transocean Ltd., up 18 cents to $10.80

Energy companies benefited from an upturn in the price of crude oil.

Forterra Inc., down $4.79 to $14.93

The maker of pipes reported a quarterly loss that was much wider than Wall Street analysts were expecting.

Pantheon NV, up $8.60 to $34.60

The drug maker agreed to be acquired by Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. for $35 a share in cash.

Avis Budget Group Inc., down $1.29 to $23.74

The car rental company said its president and chief financial officer, David Wyshner, will leave the company in June to “pursue other opportunities.”

American International Group Inc., up 83 cents to $61.82

The insurance company named Brian Duperreault as president and chief executive officer.

J.C. Penney Inc., down 21 cents to $4.34

Several Wall Street analysts downgraded the retailer’s stock after it reported disappointing results last week.

Moody’s Corp., up $1.34 to $116.11

The credit ratings agency is buying financial data company Bureau van Dijk for about $3.27 billion.
