First International Title has expanded its operations into Texas with the purchase of First Western Title.
The deal opens the door for future expansion, with First Western Title also licensed in six additional states.
With the sale, Florida-based First International Title will assume control of First Western Title’s offices in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with branches located in Arlington, Burleson, Colleyville, Dallas and Fort Worth. Glen Cochran, First Western president, and Chris Drumm, senior vice president, will retain their present roles.
“We’ve been looking to extend our reach beyond Florida for quite some time,” said Jim Moran, CEO, First International Title, in a news release.
With almost 40 years in the business, Cochran has led First Western Title since its inception, while Drumm has been with the company for three years.
First International Title is marking its sixth anniversary in 2015. Founded during one of the slowest real estate markets in the past half century, the company has grown from a handful of offices to 30 offices throughout Florida, from Key West to Pensacola, including its company headquarters in Coral Springs, Fla.
With more than 240 full-time employees on staff, the company provides title and closing services while supporting the local communities it serves.
