Fort Worth, Arlington accounting firms complete merger

Sutton Frost Cary LLP Certified Public Accountants and Consultants of Arlington has completed its merger with accounting firm BR Powell & Associates of Fort Worth. Powell officially became part of SFC on Oct. 31. “Our joining forces with Powell represents the coming together of two highly respected firms in the industry. We will continue to provide the highest quality of service to our clients with a greater ability to draw upon the resources for which both firms are well known,” said Managing Partner John Sutton.

SFC is a full-service CPA firm that has been serving the D-FW area for more than 45 years through offices in Arlington and Fort Worth. The firm works with privately and publicly held businesses in construction, manufacturing, insurance, distribution and technology industries, as well as nonprofit organizations and employee benefit plans. Powell has been serving Fort Worth individuals and businesses since 1982 through its tax, accounting and assurance services. Five SFC partners and more than 20 staff members, including all current Powell employees, will continue to serve SFC existing clients as well as Powell’s clients. Sutton will manage the Fort Worth office.
