Bent Grass Holdings Inc. has acquired M&M Merchandisers Inc. of Fort Worth.

Founded in 1976 by Marty Stenzler, the company has grown to become a nationwide retailer of over 7,500 consumer products including car and marine audio equipment, TV, cellphone and video gaming accessories, tools, toys, musical instruments, sporting and outdoor goods, self-defense and vehicle security products. M&M sells to over 6,500 customers throughout the United States including pawn shops, truck stops, convenience stores, online retailers, gift shops and independent general retailers. The company currently employs 55 at its east Fort Worth facility. No price for the transaction was released.

Craig Harrison of Carrollton-based Bent Grass Holdings will lead the company as the new CEO. Harrison has over 20 years of retailing and management experience, particularly in the areas of systems development and customer engagement with retailers such as Lowes, Cabela’s and Golfsmith. Said Harrison, “Our team understands that we can no longer manage customers and channels the way we have in the past. New technology and skill sets are required and our people are ready for that change and the exciting opportunities which that represents.”

M&M is already evaluating new strategic partnerships to expand its product lines and attract new customer group segments.

“M&M Merchandisers is excited about the growth opportunities we have in front of us,” said Harrison. “ We look forward to strengthening our current long-standing relationships as well as building many new ones.”

Marty Stenzler retained Kasper & Associates to serve as his exclusive agent in initiating, structuring and negotiating terms of the transaction.
