Fort Worth Employees’ Retirement Fund executive director departing

The Fort Worth Employees’ Retirement Fund Board of Trustees on Dec. 10 announced the departure of Joelle Mevi, who has served as the Fund’s executive director/chief investment officer since March 2014. She has been responsible for management and oversight of the fund’s $2.2 billion investment portfolio and benefit programs serving more than 11,000 retired and active employees of the City of Fort Worth.

“On behalf of Fort Worth Employees’ Retirement Fund Board of Trustees and staff, we thank Joelle for her service to our members and to the City of Fort Worth,” said Fort Worth Employees’ Retirement Fund Board of Trustees Chair Todd Cox. “We wish her well in future professional and personal endeavors.”

Benita Falls Harper, who has served as the Fund’s Legal Counsel since 2017, will serve as interim executive director. “We have confidence that Benita and our experienced staff will carry on the work of the Fort Worth Employees’ Retirement Fund capably and without interruption,” said Cox. “Our members know they can always call the fund with questions about their pension plan and retirement options. That will continue with this change in executive leadership.”
