Fort Worth insurance agency crosses the Red River

Higginbotham has crossed the Red River.

The Fort Worth-based insurance broker announced July 6 its new operation in Oklahoma City headed by insurance brokers Gray Holden and Chris Lavigne, partners in business for three years.

This new addition gives Higginbotham local representation in Oklahoma City, its first expansion outside the Texas state border in its 69 years of business.

“Our business model has brought us tremendous success in Texas, and we think there’s a great opportunity with our new partners to have the same growth results in Oklahoma,” said Rusty Reid, president and CEO. “Customers choose Higginbotham because we have cost and service efficiencies that most small brokers can’t offer, yet we don’t lose sight of personal service because we remain regionally focused with local teams. Our region is bigger now, but our foundation is still face-to-face service.”

Executive Vice Presidents Holden and Lavigne will continue their collaboration to bring Higginbotham’s insurance solution to the Oklahoma City market. They have experience in property, general liability, management liability, environmental liability, life and health insurance for mid-market companies. The partnership with Higginbotham gives them an expanded portfolio of risk management and employee benefit services.

Higginbotham is ranked by revenue as the largest independent insurance broker based in the state.

The Oklahoma City office is located at 5100 S. I-15 Service Road, Suite 201, Oklahoma City 73129.
