Fort Worth pallet company sold

Fricks Pallet Company LLC has acquired all the assets of Fort Worth-based Metroplex Wood Products.

Founded in 1980 and owned by Casey and Nikki Prochazka since 2009, MWP provides recycled and remanufactured wood pallets to commercial accounts in North and Central Texas. The company processes and sells about 10,000 pallets per week to a diverse customer base, including distribution centers, warehouses and manufacturing companies. No price for the transaction was released.

Brothers Greg and Brad Fricks own the newly-formed Fricks Pallet Company as well as The Fricks Company, a national industrial concrete floor construction company. According to Greg Fricks, the pallet company will operate separate from the concrete construction business and plan to expand the pallet company’s capabilities and scope of operation, according to a news release.

MWP was represented in the sale by Fort Worth’s Kasper & Associates.
