Fort Worth private equity firm partners with wound-care company

Fort Worth-based private equity firm Ancor Capital Partners has formed a joint venture partnership with Advanced Tissue, a provider of wound-care products headquartered in Little Rock, Ark.

Advanced Tissue, founded in 2000, provides customized surgical dressings based on physician orders, in single-use unit-dose packaging, to patients at home and in long-term care facilities.

Advanced Tissue’s current management team, including CEO Kevin Lamb, and ownership will stay in place, according to Tim McKibben, Ancor managing partner.

“The Advanced Tissue team has done a tremendous job building a strong and efficiently run company, and we are excited to come alongside and assist in growing Advanced Tissue to the next level,” McKibben said.

Yukon Partners, based in Minneapolis, provided mezzanine capital and made a minority equity interest in the transaction. This is the fourth investment opportunity in which Ancor and Yukon have teamed together.

Ancor Capital Partners, founded in 1994, focuses on lower middle-market manufacturing and distribution companies with EBITDA of $5-$15 million. Ancor has made 39 acquisitions to date in health care, consumer and other industries.
