Fort Worth-based Morrison Supply Co. LLC, a 97-year-old wholesale distributor of plumbing, HVAC, pipe, valves and fittings and builder products throughout the Southwest, will expand its presence into Oklahoma with the acquisition of Tulsa, Okla. based Empire Plumbing Supply Inc. for an undisclosed amount. EP Supply and its predecessors have been a fixture in Tulsa and surrounding communities since 1961. The company will be re-branded Morrison but the EP Supply personnel team will transition to Morrison. According to Morrison President Stan Allen, the company has been targeting the Tulsa market. Sam Beakey of EP Supply, said in a statement, “On a personal level, I am excited to join the Morrison team as I have observed their growth, company spirit, and most importantly dedication to their associates over the past several years. Morrison’s commitment to their associates, their customers, and the community aligns with my personal values and goals.” Morrison’s acquisition of EP Supply broadens the company’s footprint in Oklahoma, adding to existing Morrison locations in Oklahoma City, Norman, Lawton and Edmond.

Founded in 1917, Morrison is now the largest distributor of plumbing supplies in the Southwest United States. The company has more than100 branches and showrooms in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas and Kansas. Morrison has several lines of business, including plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), industrial pipes, valves and fittings, oil and gas, and waterworks. In September, Morrison Supply acquired the assets of El Paso-based, Western Wholesale Co. Inc. Like EP Supply, Western will be re-branded under the Morrison name. Morsco, Morrison’s parent company, operates four companies, including Morrison, Farnsworth Wholesale Supply in Phoenix and Tempe, Ariz., Express Pipe and Supply in Southern California, and Wholesale Specialties in Denver.
